I'm Rafael, a security engineer based in Solothurn. I've been in IT since 2019, starting with an EFZ apprenticeship as a system engineer, and in security for over two years.

My day job is defending hybrid environments (cloud and on-prem, Windows, Linux and macOS). I work daily with Defender, Sentinel and Entra, build and tune detection rules, and have handled 100+ confirmed incidents from first alert to remediation.

I'm also a CPTS-certified penetration tester. I use that to check whether defenses actually hold, because a configuration that looks right on paper isn't the same as one an attacker can't get past.

I'm now taking on my first freelance clients alongside my job, focusing on small and mid-sized companies that need solid security without a full security team. On-site in Switzerland, remote across Europe.
